Partners
Organizations can have the opportunity to assist in the mission to develop a grassroots, community-centered network to connect local citizens to the history, preservation and conservation of the Fox and Wisconsin rivers.
Partnership Structure
The Parkway actively seeks out two primary types of partnerships:
Heritage Partners – Any organization or site whose mission, primary purpose, or secondary purpose is to convey, protect, recognize, and enhance the heritage, cultural or environmental resources located within the Parkway (examples include: museums, parks, community festivals, historic structures)
Parkway Supporters – Any organization, not necessarily historically or environmentally significant, that has a vested interest in developing the cultural or environmental resources located within the Parkway (businesses, community organizations, government entities, schools)
Heritage Partners:
Heritage partners will receive the designation as a Parkway Heritage Site. According to the National Park Service, all Heritage Sites must be nationally significant, pertain to one or more historical themes, and provide opportunities for public interpretation.
Heritage Benefits:
- Inclusion in the Parkway website inventory
- Use of Parkway logo
- Receive regular Parkway-related communication and updates
- Cooperative marketing, including press releases and inclusion on print publications
- Technical assistance from the Parkway and its partners*
